Our caregivers are devoted to improving the lives of those we serve. Each caregiver on our team cares deeply for their clients and receives special training to ensure they are equipped with the most up-to-date skills, enabling them to provide the highest quality of care for you or your loved one.

Matching the right caregiver with each client is very important to us. That’s why our In-Home Care Specialist, after meeting with you and your loved one, will work diligently with our Staffing Coordinator to ensure we make the right match for your situation.

Screening Process

Meals on Wheels Central Texas In-Home Care is a leading authority in providing care and services to Austin seniors and individuals with disabilities. We take the safety and well-being of those we serve very seriously. Our caregivers go through a rigorous screening process which includes a face-to-face interview, an employment history verification, local and national criminal history background checks, and professional and personal reference checks.

Certification

Once we have thoroughly screened and identified a caregiver as a good candidate, they receive a minimum of 12 hours of training on a wide range of topics. Upon successful completion, each caregiver receives certification through the Institute for Professional Care Education.
